Community Appreciation Blog: Week 1

Thanks for sticking with us during the PGA TOUR season. Now that the season is over, we have opened up a new channel with special Live Tournaments. We now have our winners of the very first Club Challenge, THE GAMES VILLAGE! It was a very close matchup with The Games Village winning by 1 stroke! They now get their chance to compete against the Dev Team CaddySharks. The winner of the match will have their team name added to the King of the Hill Trophy. Make sure to create your group or join an existing one for your chance to win week 2. Congrats Games Village and see you on the links this weekend!

Quest for 1 Million!

We are currently at 851,891 submitted Live Tournament Rounds! The player that submits the millionth round will receive a Tiger Woods autographed cover of the game! Stay tuned for updates.

Club Challenge

Create a club or join an existing one to participate in Week 2 of the Club Challenge. When you have a club, your team will get its very own VIP tournament. Only your team will be allowed to submit scores within your tournament. At the end of the week, we look at everyone's scores and calculate a club average. The club with the best average score wins and gets to play in another special VIP tournament against the Dev Team or the current King of the Hill Champions from the previous week. Next rounds start October 6, 2009 at 5pm. Your club needs at least 10 players to qualify (Your team can be made up of both PS3 and Xbox 360 players).

Create a Club - follow the steps below:

From your main Facebook page please add "Ea Brandt" as a friend. This will allow you to make "Ea Brandt" an admin for your clubs page so that we can directly interact with your club and get you in the game. You can add an Admin by selecting to edit your club within the page screen. (Adding "Ea Brandt" as an admin is a must)

Once you have sent a friend request/added "Ea Brandt" you are now ready to begin creating your club.

Select Applications from the bottom left hand corner of the screen then select "Ads and Pages". Select pages from the top to begin your fan page.  If you do not see the button, this will take you straight to the creation page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php

For your page type please select "Sports Team" located under the (Artist, Band or Public Figure) section.

Your Club name is up to you but keep in mind that inappropriate or suggestive club names will not be recognized!
(Please do not use Tiger Woods PGA TOUR in your club name in any way)

Once your page is created your welcome to create a logo for your team and display it as your profile photo.

Once your page is created select the "Info" tab and follow the guidelines below:
Members:

Xbox 360
Gamertag, Gamertag, Gamertag, etc

Playstation 3
PSN ID, PSN ID, PSN ID, etc
(This will allow us to see who is playing and on what platform for your club)

After that it's up to you! Start recruiting team members and amass as many fans as possible. We will be watching so look for updates from us on your progress and we'll see you in-game!
